Frequently asked questions

What is Biza.ca?

Biza.ca is a Vancouver-based business consulting brand in the Sedighi.ca and SAZ.ca group of companies, led by Ali Sedighi, MBA. It organises small-business setup and growth into a 26-letter checklist and offers paid help with the hardest letters.

How much does it cost?

Hourly consulting runs $175 to $350, projects $3,500 to $25,000, and monthly retainers $2,500 to $12,000, all in Canadian dollars plus GST/HST for your province (GST and QST in Quebec). The first 30-minute consultation is free.

Do I have to sign a long contract?

No lock-in. Projects have a defined scope and finish line. Retainer terms, including the notice period, are set out in writing in your proposal before you agree.

Who owns the website, domain and accounts?

You do. Everything we create or recover is registered to your business. Ownership is letter A of the checklist, and we would be contradicting ourselves if we held your accounts.

We tried an agency before and it went nowhere. Why would this be different?

We start by scoring your letters, so you see in writing what is missing before any money is spent. Many failed agency projects were built on red foundation letters, such as accounts the business did not own or no way to measure inquiries.

How long before I see results?

Ownership and profile fixes take days to weeks. Review routines take a month or two to show. Search work takes several months. We set a baseline at the start so you can see movement as it happens.

How do you report progress?

By the colour of your alphabet, updated after each piece of work, plus a short monthly report on inquiries, Google profile actions and new reviews for growth-letter work.

Can you promise rankings or leads?

No. No honest consultant can. We promise clear scope, real effort and honest reporting against a baseline.

Do you give tax, legal or accounting advice?

No. When a letter rests on those rules, we link the official government page and suggest which professional to ask. Our work is business and marketing consulting.

Do you work outside British Columbia?

Yes. We work with owners in all ten provinces and three territories in person, by video call, or by phone, text and email. Our areas pages list the provincial bodies behind letters such as B, H and P.

My business is brand new. Is the checklist still useful?

Yes, arguably more so, because it is far cheaper to set accounts up in the right name than to recover them later. Work through A to F before you open, then the rest in your first year.

Why are your case studies all HVAC?

Because that is where Ali has built the most and where the numbers are published and checkable. We present them as results from our HVAC work, as proof of method, not as results in your industry.

About the checklist

The checklist is free, complete and usable without us. The A to Z checklist has 26 letters with three to six tick boxes each. It covers setup letters (accounts, business number, banking, domain, email, filing calendar), operating letters (hiring basics, insurance, licences, privacy, consent) and growth letters (Google profile, measurement, reviews, search, website).

A box counts as ticked only when you can show the evidence within five minutes. Owners who are strict about that rule usually find four to eight empty letters on a first pass. That is normal; the point is to see them.

About money and terms

You will always see the price and terms in writing before you agree. We use the published consulting ranges of our parent brand, which are on our pricing page. Every proposal lists the letters in scope, what "done" means for each, the milestones, GST/HST and the notice period.

We do not publish claims about fees or policies that are not in that proposal. If a term matters to you, ask us to write it in.

About ownership and access

Everything is yours, and we never need your passwords. We work on screen-shares while you log in, or through temporary, limited roles you grant and later remove. At the end of any engagement, every account, page and file is registered to the business, and you have a key list showing who has access.

If an earlier provider still holds your accounts, our accounts recovery service follows each platform's own process to move them back to you.

About our limits

We are business and marketing consultants, and we say so on every letter where the line matters. Letters B, F, H, I, L and P touch registration, tax, employment, insurance, licensing and privacy law. On those we:

  • link the official federal, provincial or territorial page we have checked
  • explain what the letter is for and why it matters to the rest of the alphabet
  • suggest which professional to confirm the details with

We do not interpret the law for your situation. That protects you as much as us.

About timing and first steps

The right moment to call is before you spend, not after. Owners often get in touch after a website rebuild or an ad campaign disappointed them. The checklist usually shows why: the money landed on a red letter. A site on a domain the business did not own, ads sent to a page with no tappable number, a campaign with no way to count inquiries.

If you are about to sign anything larger than a few thousand dollars for marketing, a single hourly session with your marked-up checklist is cheap insurance. We will tell you which letters the new spending depends on and whether they are green. Sometimes the answer is "go ahead"; sometimes it is "fix A and M first, then sign."

For brand-new businesses, the sequence is simpler. Work through A to F before opening day, G, Q and R in the first month, and the rest across the first year using the annual calendar.

About working together

We meet in person or by video call, and also work by phone, text and email. We are Canadian, headquartered in Vancouver, and work with owners across the country; see our areas hub for how the letters change by province. We keep hours of Mon–Fri 9–6 Pacific. We usually reply within one business day. Full details are on the contact page.
